The Boardwalk Skirt

The Boardwalk Skirt by Too Sweets Patterns [here]

I love this fun pattern. It is a quick sew and requires a little less than a yard of fabric! Takes me about an hour and a half to finish one skirt from beginning to end. And I'm a slow sewer. Someone who sews quickly could finish this up in less than a hour probably. This would be a GREAT project for beginner sewers. It will teach you all the basics: cutting out a pattern, elastic, buttons and button holes.

The first version of this skirt I made I made exactly how the instructions suggested and made working buttons but I noticed that every time Elle wore the skirt she was always fidgeting with them and eventually the button holes started to grow and the buttons started to slip out of the holes so the next version I made I sewed the button placket closed and just sewed the button on the front to look like it opened down the front.

Really, such a sweet little pattern for little girls! The black floral was Elle's most favorite :)

I listed some of these sweet skirts, ready-to-ship in the Hello High Etsy shop [here] today!

Happy almost-the-weekend! We are supposed to have some sunshine on Saturday. I am SO excited.
